Hello!  Welcome to our Koala Kindergarten!
A little bit about me...

I began my teaching career in 1986 in Morgan Hill, CA and continued teaching grades K-5 in the bay area cities of Cupertino and Campbell until the year 2000.  I took a leave of absence to begin my family and was able to stay home and raise my two daughters for the first eight years.  During that time, we moved to the Reno area where I returned to teaching at my daughters' school in Spanish Springs, NV.  During the summer of 2015, we relocated to Rocklin, CA, and I accepted a teaching position at Greenhills Elementary, the most incredible school on Earth!

This will be my seventh year teaching Kindergarten and second year at Greenhills.  Although I've taught many grades and worked in many capacities at the school and district levels, Kindergarten is my favorite and I'm delighted to get to work with this very special age-group this coming year!  This summer I was able to take several classes that will help us as we build our classroom community;  Responsive Classroom and Education Through Music, and Mindfulness.  We as teachers are always learning and enhancing our our knowledge of students and how they learn best.

My daughters are growing up so fast!  My oldest will be a junior and my youngest will be a freshman at Rocklin High School this year.  They are actively involved in volleyball and swimming as well as many school clubs and extracurricular activities.  As a family, we love the outdoors and often find ourselves at Lake Tahoe, San Francisco and Calistoga, where my sister and husband live.  I have a god-daughter in Saratoga and many family members in that area and Palo Alto.  Our move to Rocklin has allowed us to spend lots of time together as a family which has been wonderful for all of us!

I enjoy gardening, traveling, decorating, spending time with my kids and my two dogs, eating sushi and being outdoors, but, the most importantly, I love children and teaching.  I look forward to this upcoming school year!
